Keep the Customer at the Center of Every Digital Marketing Strategy
The marketing and advertising world has changed drastically over the last few years. The traditional single-channel marketing strategy is long gone and consumers’ attention span has gone with it. They receive so many mass marketing messages on a daily basis that the only ones that stand out speak to them on a personal level. Making a more personal connection that resonates with your audience is the most important marketing message you can have. The only way you can achieve this message is to keep your consumers at the heart of your strategy. Leveraging advanced data, using innovative technology to identify different segments, developing the most relevant message and reaching your audience through the most relevant channels are all necessary tools for your campaign to be successful.
One of the best starting points to achieving the best marketing message possible is to build a consumer profile. This requires asking questions like, what are my target markets interests? What are their purchase behaviors? And when is the best time to reach my audience? Answers to these questions give a much better look into the mind of your consumers which is then where you can develop messages most likely to resonate with them. Getting to know your consumers as much as possible, some might say is the only way to reach them.

Content writing and SEO go hand in hand. So if you want a solid strategy to drive traffic to your website you must utilize both tools properly. Here are 5 tips that will help you with content writing and SEO.
- Use the Right Keywords – Keywords are an extremely important part of SEO so you must use the correct ones. Figuring out what topics your consumers care about and then trying to rank for those topics is your best strategy.
- Identify Search Intent – There are four categories for search intent: the searcher wants to know something, the searcher wants to do something, the searcher wants to find a website, and the searcher wants to find a location. Identify which category your audience is most likely to fall under and structure your content accordingly.
- Update Old Content – Recent content is a major factor when getting ranked higher in search engines. If you identify old content that still has the potential to rank high in Google, update that content and publish it again.
- Prioritize Quality Links – Links that are on your website and websites that link to your website tell Google a lot about the quality of your site. Make sure you always link-to and link-from credible websites.

Netflix is Genius for Not Using Ads
Online advertising is a money-making behemoth that brands like Facebook, Google, and Amazon use to make a lot of cash. Even though Netflix has an opportunity to make more money using online advertising they have chosen not to and we love them for it.
Netflix CEO Reed Hastings realized that even though he can make a boatload off advertisements through Google, Amazon, and Facebook, he chooses to stick to a much simpler business model. He says, “We’ve got a much simpler business model, which is just focused on streaming and customer pleasure. We don’t collect anything. We’re just really focused on making our members happy.” He doesn’t want to exploit his users by collecting a bunch of personal data from them so they can tailor ads to locations, demographics, etc. So many streaming services profit from the online advertising model; Netflix’s decision to stay ad-free will be highly beneficial. They have a different approach where they care about the customer experience and want to keep it that way. They will surely stay successful and keep growing with this business model.
